Tour
Timna Park extends over an area of 64 square kilometers. The park contains
amazing scenery, unique natural phenomena, geologic formations, antiquities
sites, desert flora and fauna.
The Timna Park staff excels at planning, preparing, and executing unique
educational youth programs.
Desert Astronomy: Stargazing and stellar navigation.
Challenges: Desert survival including group decision-making, problem-solving
in the field, orienteering, water procurement, rope climbing as a group
activity and a conceptual challenge.

Bicycle trips: Challenging tours through the park on mountain
bikes.

Rappelling/Omega: 18-meter rappelling site and Omega
slide.

Jeep tours: Routes include from Timna Park to the dune in Nahal
Nimrah, to Nahal Orah and Nahal Raham, around through the Nimrah Ascent
to the open mine and Timna Lake.

Arts and Crafts: activities with natural materials, filling bottles
with colored sand, make-up with colored sand, working
with clay, pressing King Solomons coins, copper
art, and more.

The Tabernacle: a guided tour of the reconstruction of the Tabernacle,
located near Timna Lake, and the story of the journey of the Israelites
through the desert.

Mines of Time; a multi-media educational presentation of the
history of copper mining on a 360-degree screen.

Organized sleeping facility for school field trips in the Bedouin
Tent near the lake. Mattresses and mats, lights, hot showers, drinking
fountains, and public restrooms.

Lodging for faculty at nearby Sunset Garden in Kibbutz Elifaz.

Meals (in accordance with IYHA prices): barbeques, light Middle-Eastern
style meals in the Bedouin tent.
