The
Arches and ancient mines
The walking trail that leads to the Arches takes you past caves and mine shafts where, 6,000 years ago, one of the most significant technological revolutions in human history began: copper mining and production. Approximately 10,000 mine shafts have been found in this area.
The natural arches formed by erosion can be seen along the western cliff and make this site a favorite with photographers.
